Tanya studied at the Colorado Institute of Arts. She currently lives in the hills of Virginia, south of Roanoke, and has been throwing clay professionally for about 12 years. Everything she creates is hand thrown, hand altered, handmade; no two are ever alike. She makes her own glazes and some of her own clay. She recently fell in love with Raku, because the outcome is always unpredictable. The colors and the cracks allow each piece to tell its own story.
